| Marco
Brizzi (1967), PhD, is currently teaching Architectural
Design at California State University - Florence program;
Theories and Practices in Architecture at the Faculty
of Architecture in Ferrara; Media Environments in the
Master in Multimedia promoted by the University of Florence
and RAI Italian TV; and Digital Environment Design at
NABA, Milan. He gave lectures, participated in conferences
and symposia and promoted cultural events in Italy and
abroad. He is founder and president of iMage www.image-web.org, a company producing communication and media services in the field of architecture. He is the author and curator of BEYOND MEDIA www.beyondmedia.it, international Festival of Architecture and Media, an event promoted by the University of Florence, today in its 8th edition. The festival has been observing since 1997 the advance of multimedia devices in the field of architecture. He is director of ARCH'IT www.architettura.it, online architectural magazine. Founded in 1995, ARCH'IT is the first and one of the most widely read Italian digital magazine on architecture. He is curator of the SESV gallery www.sesv.net for the University of Florence since 2000, where he has been presenting some of the most interesting personalities in Italian and international architecture. Marco Brizzi received prestigious acknowledgements. He has been appointed as a juror in competition and prize juries, in Italy and abroad. He is permanent guest of the National Board of Directors of in/arch (Istituto nazionale di architettura), member of the selection committee for the Borromini Prize, for the in/arch Architecture Prize, for the FEIDAD Award. He's also advisor for the Mies van der Rohe Awards. As director of ARCH'IT he was finalist for the Golden Medal to criticism awarded by the Triennale di Milano. |
